Happy Sunday (and happy Mother’s Day)! Hope you’re enjoying a wonderful weekend on a beach or lake somewhere soaking up some lovely sunshine. Even if you’re not, you can at least pretend you are with these easy strawberry daiquiris.
Strawberry daiquiris often involve triple sec (which is full of sugar) or added sugar (which is also, obviously, full of sugar) so I have come up with a no-sugar-added version since strawberries are plenty sweet on their own, in my opinion. These are really easy too, so you won’t have to take much time out of your weekend to whip up a batch, which is an important quality in a beverage.
Since the recipe is basically “combine stuff in a blender and push the button,” I’ll stop talking now and just post the ingredients – enjoy your weekend!
Vegan, Gluten Free, Refined Sugar Free, Low Fat
- 1 cup (about 8 or so) frozen strawberries (if you want to use fresh, either freeze them first or add a handful of ice)
- 2 oz. (about 1/4 cup) rum
- 2 oz. (about 1/4 cup) orange juice - I just squeezed three medium oranges by hand. You can also use lime juice but it will add a strong lime flavor (the orange juice adds a citrus note but you mostly taste the strawberries)
- Combine everything in a blender and blend until smooth. Add a tiny umbrella if you absolutely have to.
