Vegan Mushroom Gravy

This vegan mushroom gravy is creamy and delicious. It’s also freezer-friendly, so it’s perfect for a plant-based Thanksgiving. Enjoy it with mashed potatoes, vegan meatloaf, roasted veggies, and more. 

Ingredients

Mushrooms Broth Vegan butter Onion powder Garlic powder

Thyme Salt Black pepper Flour Nutritional yeast

Step 1:

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Sauté the mushrooms for 10 to 12 minutes, or until tender and browned.

Instructions

Add the flour and toss until the mushrooms are completely coated. Cook for 5 minutes or until the flour is golden brown.

Add the broth, spices, and nutritional yeast.

Step 3:

Simmer for 20 to 25 minutes, mixing occasionally, or until thickened. Keep in mind that the gravy will thicken as it cools. Additionally, depending on how long you simmer the gravy, this recipe will yield about 3 cups.
