Hi cleangreensimple readers! I'm currently a research assistant in the field of mental health, with 4 years of experience in clinical psychology. I'm passionate about helping people improve their mental and physical health through a comprehensive approach to intuitive plant-based eating, mindfulness practices, and fitness. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of South Carolina and am pursuing my doctorate in Clinical Psychology. After my graduation from UofSC, I became focused in various areas of mental health including, inpatient crisis, eating disorders, and substance use. Ultimately, I found my niche while working as a Program Therapist at an eating disorder recovery center, where I provided psycho-education, group therapy, and meal support to individuals. I recognized the importance of accurate education surrounding the topic of food, as there can be a lot of misinformation online. Knowing the facts, having a healthy mindset and utilizing positive self-talk were some big takeaways for individuals on their recovery journey, and I hopes to continue to spread this knowledge to others. I've used creativity as an outlet throughout my life, enjoying painting and photography as forms of expression and more recently have taken to journal writing. Contributing to Clean Green Simple’s social media platform as well as writing articles on beauty, health and wellness, has been the perfect crossroads for all of my interests. Outside of work you can find my on a hike or walking my dog; Ty, trying out new restaurants, creating fun recipes, taking tons of photographs, and spending simple time with friends.
