Got pudding? Us Americans are salivating with jealousy over the news we recently saw over at VegNews that UK-based vegan desserts company, Freaks of Nature, is investing north of $1 million into its manufacturing facilities to keep up with growing demand.
Freaks of Nature founder Peter Ahye told British website FoodManufacture.co.uk that despite the coroanvirus outbreak their production volumes still soared by 100% and they are in the process of creating several partnerships with major retailers.
Currently, the brand makes several delectable plant-based treats including chocolate and lemon mousses, chocolate fudge hot pudding, sticky toffee hot pudding (swoon!), lemon sponge hot pudding, and cherry Bakewell hot pudding (a Bakewall tart is a popular English dessert, as is Bakewell pudding). Whether you’re a chocolate lover or a citrus enthusiasts, the collection clearly has something for everyone and we can’t wait to see it grow—and we hope make it into the hands of distributors across the pond, too.
Until that fine day comes, our vote stateside is satiating your sweet tooth by whipping up these tantalizing Chocolate Pots de Crème. Or, if you could use a night off from the kitchen check out the Coconut Collaborative, and buy some dessert pots (the Salted Caramel Chocolate Desert Pots are our favorite).
Either way, it’s safe to say we predict chocolate in your very near future. And ours, too.
